About
I am a Brazilian journalist, photographer, and filmmaker.
I work at the BBC in London since 2020 – first as a video journalist at BBC News Brasil and currently at the BBC World Service. Prior to that, I spent four years at TV Folha, the video department of Folha de S.Paulo – Brazil's biggest newspaper. I also worked as a freelancer, focusing my energy on stories about the environment and indigenous peoples. Se murió Fidel is my first photobook.
Alongside my journalism work, I have my own artistic practice and research, moving between photography and video. I often collaborate with other artists on video art, performance, and dance projects.
I have lived in São Paulo for 4 years; in a tiny village in Italy for one year just before the pandemic; and in London since 2020. I've also done an exchange program at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. Florianópolis is my hometown.
I speak Portuguese, English, Spanish and Italian.
